Maya Mesoamerica Mission exists to spread the love of Christ. We are a U.S. 501(c)3 non-profit with outreaches in Mesoamerica.
Our cross-cultural Christian workers share God's love in a tangible way
with the people of Central America. By partnering with churches, civic

earn income for their families, grow spiritually, reach educational
goals and find hope through God's love.
Giving Calendar
Submitted by byrkar on Wed, 12/02/2009 - 14:26.Last year for Christmas, I made a calendar for everyone in my family. I included all of the birthdays of people in our immediate family, and then any extended family birthdays I could find. I also included some fun entries, like inventions of common household items. Then, instead of just a picture on each month, I highlighted a charity that was on my heart. In that month, I made a donation to that charity in our family's name. One month I left open, and had each person choose a charity that I would make a donation to in their name. It was a big hit. A real gift that keeps on giving.

Restaurant Trump Cards
Submitted by ShannonC on Wed, 12/02/2009 - 00:32.Each year we give our kids restaurant "trump" cards. We make paper cards about the size of a credit card and laminate them. The cards authorize the holder one use to "trump" anyone in the family when we are deciding which restaurant to go to (within reason!). Our kids love the power that gives them to decide the fate of the family when choosing where to eat. They say that is the best present each year and they are careful about when to use it. We also give each child "time" coupons. One will get Donuts with Dad on any Saturday morning.
Affirmation Letters to Children and Grand Children
Submitted by denniskutzner on Tue, 12/01/2009 - 21:21.Write a personal letter to your children and grand children letting them know what you think of each of them. Recognize their gifts, talents, and character qualities. Even considering sharing what you see as God's working in their lives. I have done this for 27 years and it has become the highlight of every Christmas as everyone waits to receive their letter from dad and grandpa. After death these letters will still be read over again and again. The influence we can have will always be there in their lives.
